Our pre-school founder Julia Payos personally invited trainers C.J. Mattijssen and Dr.Ward van de Vijver from the Dutch Montessori Association (NMV) to Kyiv to hold a special hands-on training for parents.

Trainers with over 20 years of experience in international Montessori pre-schools and schools answered questions parents were most concerned about.

Why is Montessori themethod to choose if you want independent and confident children. Understanding children's needs. Raising children without pressure and punishments. Freedom of choice and boundaries. How to encourage desired behavior and teach discipline? How to help children feel secure in pre-school from the start? Brain development and why the first three years of life are so important.

The participants took advantage of the exciting opportunity to put themselves in a Montessori child shoes as they received true Montessori lessons.

The event had a special fundraising pursuit. By virtue of our dutiful parents who want to learn and raise genuinely happy kids, all raised funds (25 000 UAH) were donated to Big Heart of Mercy (Большое Сердце Милосердия) fund to organize a trip to Kiev for children from Cheburashka orphanage, Rokytnoe village. The kids received presents, went to see Frozen 2 in the cinema, and ate lots of popcorn and chocolate.
